Thanks, in particular, to Poets.org, National Poetry Month is an easy thing for teachers to add to their curriculum or school culture. It’s not always easy to get students to see value in poems, but if they can like a few poems, we’ve made some progress. Consider also what poem you might carry in your pocket on Thursday, April 29. And why not have a poem a day delivered to your email? That way, you can keep poetry alive in April.
