Ethnic Studies

Description >

This project asks you to explore a topic of historical or cultural importance in one of the four main ethnic groups we are studying: African American, Native American, Asian American, and Latino.

Research and report on a topic from one of the four groups. Ethnic groups will be assigned randomly. Other students may have your same ethnic group, so choose your topic early. Topics may not be repeated.

  • Your report must include the basic information: who, what, when, where, why and how.

  • Show how the event is important or culturally significant. What resulted from the event or "topic"? Were laws changed? Did people behave differently? Did culture shift/change? Explain.

  • Be sure to list the key players and a bit about each of them and their roles.

  • Add anything that will be important for us to know.
